I am an
evolutionary
biologist, animal behaviorist and ornithologist. I am especially
interested in understanding how and why
organisms communicate. I recently earned my doctoral degree
at the
University of
Washington in Seattle, WA, USA (2011).
The focus of my dissertation was vocal
communication in the stripe-headed sparrow (Peucaea r. ruficauda)
in Costa Rica.
During my
Ph.D., I studied in the birdsong
lab of Dr. Michael Beecher of the UW Biology and Psychology
Departments.
